Hi!
I am Ann Marie Ryals. I live in Tahlequah, OK. My great-great grandfather was John Rains Hargis. His parents were James & Nancy Rains Hargis. They were from Carroll County, AR, but eventually came to Tahlequah, OK in the late 1800's. Originally, they were from TN. I am just beginning to research this family, so I don't have much info. I would appreciate any help or references to other researchers, if possible.

I was excited to see that you all moved to Las Vegas. My grandmother used to live in Raton and her best friends live outside of Las Vegas near the Carson? National Forest. I spent several days on their ranch. It was wonderful!! We rode horses in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. It was unforgettable!!!

Hi, My Rains ancestry is from Va. Capt. John Rains b. 1759 in Caroline Co., Va. Served two tours during the Revolutionary War. Married Letishia in Va. in 1787 and they moved to Bledsoe Co., Tn.
